AD CONVERTER DPR-AD02
The new AD02 from DPR is a professional 20-Bit analog to digital converter with superior analog input circuitry.
A 35-step bargraph display enables the user accurate metering of the input signal and due to the internally used DSP, a true digital peak or VU-meter with selectable characteristics and time constants offers, therefore, a maximum of available dynamic range. Five standard input reference levels (-10 dBu, 0 dBu, +4 dBu, +6 dBu, +15 dBu) as well as a user defined reference level help to integrate the AD02 in any existing studio environment.
The AD02 has a professional AES-EBU output or alternatively a consumer SPDIF coaxial and optical output, all of them providing full implementation of the necessary channel status.
Additionally the AD02 offers a stereo or a true 2-channel mode, a switchable limiter on the analog inputs as well as a 16-Bit mode providing properly dithered output data for CD and RDAT applications.
With its superior sound quality and its large dynamic range the AD02 is the right choice for the professional recording studio, the broadcaster, the professional video studio or the high end consumer user.
Specifications of the AD02 Converter
Analogical part
?2 ajustable analogical inputs with 2 potentiometers as well as 2 commutators allowing to choose the input level (+ 15 dBu, + 6 dBu, + 4 dBu, 0 dBu, - 10 dBu and adjustable from + 15 dBu to - 10 dBu).
?The inputs are symmetrical with transformers.
?The inputs are on cannon connectors.
?The inputs can be selected in stereo mode or in 2-channels mode.
?The inputs are provided with 2 analogical limiters which can be selected. The adjustment of the threshold can be chosen internally.
?Selection of the emphasis (on/off).Display part
?The display is composed of 2 x 35 Led. It is a digital measure of the signal processed by a DSP which allows the display of the signal value in Peak-meter or in Vu-meter.
?2 additional Led are intended for displaying the overload of which parameters can be modified through PC (RS232).
?In peak hold mode, the peak display as well as the overload are memorized permanently and can be deleted.Conversion part
?The AD converter is a 20 Bit converter which always turns on its own internal reference frequency.
?The AD converter also works on a 16 Bit mode basis for CD or RDAT applications.Digital part
?1 AES/EBU output (cannon connector).
?2 SPDIF outputs : 1 coaxial and 1 optical.
?All selected functions (e.g. Emphasis, S/2-CH, 20/16) are included in the status of the AES/EBU or SPDIF signal.
